ABOUT THE FORUM
The Forum of Heads of Regions (administrative and territorial units) of the SCO Member States (hereinafter referred to as the Forum) is a voluntary association of the heads of regions of the SCO countries, acting as a conversational platform at the regional level.
The main objectives of the Forum are as follows:
deepening interregional cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, scientific, technical, cultural, humanitarian and other priority areas of cooperation among the SCO member states;
increasing the international authority of the SCO.
increasing the level of cooperation, including industrial cooperation, between the regions of the SCO member states;
providing favorable conditions for the development of comprehensive cooperation between the regions of the SCO member states;
The 3rd Forum was held on August 2–4, 2022 in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan).
The Forum has been held since 2020 at the initiative of the Russian Federation.
